Dale Grisa is a Pianist, Music Director and Orchestrator based in Detroit who works with a variety of clients on live events, recording projects, musical theatre and can even be seen playing the occasional club date. Live performance credits include, Jill Jack, Alexander Zonjic, Dave McMurray, Peter White, Ken Navarro, The Bacon Brothers, Stewart Franke, Evanescence, IL Divo, numerous national tours of musical theatre including, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Memphis, and several others.
A product of the Wayne State University Jazz department, Dale studied piano and arranging with Matt Michaels and composition with Jim Hartway.

The 2008 North American International Auto Show. Dale was hired by Cadillac to compose 10 pieces of music to reveal the 2009 product line. This was performed live by a 14 voice choral group.
The 2013 North American International Auto Show. Dale was hired by Chevrolet to music direct a piece of electronic music composed by Paul Guzzone. The piece was written to announce the release of the Chevy Cruze and was performed live by 12 musicians on Ipads and Iphones.
Produced and played piano on Jill Jack’s 2017 release “Pure Imagination” which won the Detroit Music Award for Outstanding Jazz Recording.
Written and produced numerous television and radio commercials with clients that include, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Sea Doo, La Z Boy, Medical Weight Loss, about a million different car dealerships and other local and regional businesses..
Bonhoeffer the Musical: Dale is Music Director/Orchestrator for this new musical based on the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. This show was recently chosen by Ken Davenport (Andrew Lloyd Weber’s North American Producer, Kinky Boots, Alter Boys) as one of his top 10 to watch for in 2019!
Dale is currently the music director for Bobby Murray’s “Love Letters to Etta” project. Bobby Murray was Etta James’ guitarist for over 20 years and this project pays tribute to the great singer with a 13 piece ensemble comprised of some of Detroit’s finest players and vocalists. This group is currently in the studio and will have it’s first release available by the end of 2019.
